About

I love ideas and seeing where they lead and I like trying to look at things from different angles. I’ve set my blog up to explore ideas around my interests in parenting, life and nature.  I’ve called it Oak and Acorn because as well as the links with nature and parenting, I like the idea of things that start small and grow into something bigger or start as one thing and develop into something else.

I also love learning and my blog is about sharing the things I’ve discovered, am still learning or enjoy thinking about.

I value being a part of the wider world and love nature for that reason. I also cherish all the learning I’ve gained from being a parent and how it’s helped me to appreciate people and the world around us.

I’ve worked as a teacher, and am now a freelance trainer for parents of neurodiverse children.

As a disclaimer, these are all my own ideas and things that have worked for me.  I have no idea how well they’ll work for anyone else.  They’re just things to ponder and if you like them, great.
